Open Post - Athrun Zala

[Prompt #1]

[The setting here is at a tournament designed for combat among giant robots. At the moment, the series is yet to begin, and the various competitors are participating in their qualifier matches. These matches pit them against AI opponents, and weapons and equipment have been swapped out for less destructive battles. Laser weapons are weakened so that they do no physical damage, and ballistic rounds are replaced with paint.
One of the favorites in the field is the ZGMF-X19A Infinite Justice Gundam, the personal mobile suit of one Athrun Zala. And as chance has it, he's on the field for his qualifier round right now!
As the match begins, Athrun begins to activate the Infinite Justice's various systems. Most notably, the machine's exterior, which had appeared as a lifeless gray until now, begins to fill with color. He also makes sure the Gundam's movement, detection, and weapons systems are all functioning normally, and upon determining that they are, gives the ready signal. The match begins.
Even though these AI mecha are fearsome opponents, Athrun hardly breaks a sweat defeating. The opponent's physical rounds seem to downright repel paint, and it can't land a single beam strike. Athrun, on the other hand, uses both his own mobile suit and its remotely-controlled backpack to pin it down from both sides, before bringing it down with a thorough slash of his beam saber. The demonstration generates a loud round of applause from the admiring crowd in the stands.
You've seen the match, and you spot Athrun backstage after he's done. Are you a friend? A fan? A rival? Do you get his attention, or does he catch you watching him? Either way, now's the time to talk to him.]
[Prompt #2]

[It's the middle of the night, and Athrun is wide awake. He's had another nightmare. Years before, it was the sort of thing he could simply dismiss as a product of his subconscious, and nothing more. However, that didn't work when the dreams were about events that had actually happened in his past. Nightmares are far harder to dismiss when they're real memories.
Realizing he was getting nowhere tossing and turning in his bed, Athrun gets out. He throws on a bathrobe over his pajamas, puts on some slippers, and walks out into the hallway of the dormitory where he's staying. At the end of the hall is a balcony; that's where Athrun is headed, hoping the fresh air will do his head some good.
When he steps out onto the balcony, though, he realizes he's not alone.]
Oh!
[He looks back to the door, then offers an apologetic smile.]
I apologize if I disturbed you just now. I just need some fresh air, that's all.
[Prompt #3]

...I guess there's no use keeping it a secret any more.
[There's always been something off about Athrun. Mainly that he's a little too good at anything he tries (except singing; he's horrible at that). He's capable of some outstanding physical feats, learns new things quickly, possesses a lot of knowledge, especially of math and physics, and never seems to get sick. Either there was some kind of fluke, or there's something else at work with him.]
It only makes sense that you'd start asking questions. I apologize, but I've been keeping a secret about myself this whole time. Please understand that it's nothing to do with you or anybody else; I've been keeping it under wraps for my own safety.
But you...you deserve to know now. It's only right that I tell you. Though I warn you, this could take a while.
[Prompt #4]

[So, on some advice for finding hobbies, Athrun decides to pick up video gaming once again. And with his rig, with streaming technology being what it is these days, and with Athrun's fame, he decides to give livestreaming a shot. He's even come across an intriguing game to play as his first venture back into the realm of gaming.
Thus began a series, two hours at a time, of Athrun delving into an alien sea filled with breathtaking spectacles and creatures of all kinds. Some of his experiences end up being more enthralling than others, such as his exploration of the wrecked starship Aurora, his discovery of the first alien compound, or his berating the Precursors for their lack of foresight when it came to properly securing one particular facility. And no one will EVER forget the first time he ran into a Reaper Leviathan. First F-bomb he's ever dropped.
But now, the game comes to an end. Athrun finally makes it off the planet and watches the ending in all its splendor. Once that's done, he shuts off the game and addresses the camera directly for a few minutes.]
--and in hindsight, I don't think I could have picked a better game to return to this hobby with. This game did an amazing job of reminding me just how immersive, how amazing a good video game can be. You know, I'm actually a little sad to be leaving this game behind me. Believe it or not, I'd gotten to the point where I was eager to get through the work day just to get home and play more Subnautica! I never would have thought that would happen even six months ago.
But yeah, I just -- I really love this game. It's an incredible game, and I'm glad I got to not only play it, but share it with all of you.
[He speaks a bit more, then waves farewell to the viewers and shuts off the stream. A few minutes later, his phone rings.
You're the one calling him.
Did you watch the stream? Or is this for something completely unrelated?]
[Wild Card]
