Wanted: Pokemon PSL(s)

hurricane_chrisThis is something I've been wanting to do for a good long time. What I would really like to do is get one or more PSLs based around the typical journey of a Pokemon trainer. Ideally I'd like setups like the way things were at Route 29 (and I assume are still at Victory Road). Now, there are a few approaches to this:
Option 1: The isekai approach - Our characters will not be natives of the world of Pokemon, but rather pulled into that world through Ultra Wormholes (or some other method of dimensional travel).
Option 2: The AU approach - Our characters will be AUed into being natives of the world of Pokemon. I already have backstories planned for a few of my characters, so I have no problem doing it this way, as well.
As for regions, my order of preference would be Alola, followed by Kanto and finally Johto. If you'd really like to do something set in Hoenn or Unova, I can try to accommodate, but I'll have to get a refresher on what those regions all have. Unfortunately, my memories of Sinnoh and Kalos are vague, so using either of them is unlikely. Of all the regions, Alola is by far my favorite to date, and my memories of Kanto and Johto are so thoroughly embedded in my conscious that I'd never lose them.
And lastly, my characters. I'm willing to toss Athrun, Bedivere, Shirou, Siegfried, and Xander into this kind of PSL. If I get more muses, I'll add them as I see fit.
