This is the largest, most elegant ballroom you have ever seen. Overhead, golden chandeliers flicker with warm lights, which are reflected on the large, window-shaped mirrors on the walls. A beautiful wooden dance floor sat in the center of the room, with ornately-decorated tables all around it. In the back is a pair of glass doors leading to a balcony that overlooks some gorgeous scenery.

[ This was the part of being a star that Sheryl had always hated. Rubbing elbows with the rich, smiling and laughing as she pretended that any of them could simply buy her.

She was able to avoid dancing with any of them by telling them that she was still tired from the night's performance, but she couldn't stop the host from putting his arm around her waist, making her fight a look of absolute disgust. ]

Excuse me, but I do believe I see someone I know ... it looks like an old friend.

[ She reached for the first person she saw. ] It's you! It's been such a long time!

[ Athrun, she doesn't know your name or who you are. But that subtle frown is begging that you played along. ]

[That maneuver had caught Athrun off-guard. Since when had someone like Sheryl Nome known him?

But Athrun's mind works fast, and this time was no exception. It didn't take long for him to pick up on what she was getting at.]

Ah, finally! I'd been hoping to see you tonight.

Excuse, everyone. But an old friend and I have some catching up to do.

[ Now, she was quickly maneuvering him to the dance floor before she had to listen to their protests about her saying that she had been tired.

As soon as they were out of earshot, she breathes a sigh of relief. ]

What's there to misunderstand? You needed an escape route, and I covered for you. To be quite honest, I'd seen some of the treatment you were receiving, and I didn't like it one bit.

[ Sheryl smiles and gives an elegant curtsy before beginning the dance. ]

I am used to it. It is an occupational hazard. It seems that just because I sell my voice and my talent to my fans, they believe they can buy me too.

Does that mean you've been watching me? I'm flattered.

Just because you're used to it doesn't make it right, though. A true gentleman treats a lady with dignity and respect. He puts her first, not himself.

It's kind of hard to not pay attention to a famous singer when they're in the room, wouldn't you say?
