returnmyrice: (Determined)

Well, it had been an unusual day for Gohan. It began in the middle of the afternoon, when Gohan was contacted by a telepathic message from Dende, asking him to come to the Lookout immediately. Gohan had complied, and found more than its typical three inhabitants; Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha were all present, too.

Once they had all gathered, Dende had explained to the entire group that he had been able to sense someone appearing out of nowhere, moving around for a little while, and then vanishing a few times. Dende had determined the cause to be a traveler from another dimension, which was an issue because it could screw up present and future events.

But then Krillin raised the stakes. Before coming, he had received a call from Bulma, who had taken a look at her Dragon Radar and noticed that there were only four Dragon Balls appearing. It wasn't too hard to figure out what was going on -- this traveler was stealing the Dragon Balls.

That was obviously a huge problem.

The group split up to protect the remaining Dragon Balls, with Tien and Yamcha guarding one together. Gohan flew northeast, well north of his hometown, after the One-Star Ball. It was here, somewhere, in the mountains, and so Gohan began to look for it.

Sorry about the wait

This would be the fourth she'd found. Halfway there.

Fate looked out over the small high forest clearing from her perch on top of a tree, balancing carefully as she reached out with her magical senses. The fourth of these relics her mother had sent her for was very nearby. So far collecting them had been surprisingly easy, given their power. Presumably, whoever had put them in such out of the way places had counted on their remoteness to protect them.

The alternative was that someone had scattered powerful Lost Logia across an inhabited planet at random with no effort to protect or disguise them, and Fate doubted that anyone was that careless.

Speaking of that carelessness, however, a sudden feeling of wariness came over her as she felt something approaching from behind her - not quite another mage, but something like one.

"Bardiche. I think someone is going to interrupt us this time..."
