[ Yukari was pretty sure that Athrun had more water on him than that one jug, but even as she was watching that, she couldn't help but wonder if using that much water was a good idea. But Athrun was more knowledgeable about camping than she was, so she was okay with following his lead on that.
Either way, once he was done with that, they were off. Her hands were already resting at her hips, ready to grab her pokeball if anything decided to attack them. ]
I wonder if we're going to run into any new types of pokemon today...
Your guess is as good as mine. The guide had said that most of the Pokémon found in Viridian Forest are Bug-types, but so far it's been mostly caterpillars and cocoons. Then there was just the one Pikachu.
[Athrun walks with his hands on his backpack's straps. He doesn't look at Yukari as he talks, instead focusing on keeping an eye on their surroundings.]
So I guess that means that if we do see anything new, it'll probably be whatever comes out of those cocoons then... [ Though from what she read that really wasn't how it worked here. This place was kinda stupidly confusing even with normal things like that. ]
... And speaking of cocoons, I wonder what we're going to have to do to take care of our caterpillars once they end up becoming one of those.
Well, bugs do seem to be the pokemon that we're seeing the most out of.
[ At least asking about what to do won't be too much trouble though once they come across another one. Assuming that they don't get dragged into a pokemon battle first. ]
[ Well, with how easy those two have it, she can't really blame them. ]
Totally in agreement with you there. [ Then again, he already knew that, so... god, she sure seemed to be a bit weird at making small talk lately. Might as well talk more about her pokemon? That'd work, right?]
I think Bulbasaur will probably agree with us too. He doesn't seem to be all that happy with all the bugs around whenever I have him out.
Right. That... that should work. I'll probably have to wait until Pewter City to try that though. Doing that here probably wouldn't make it easier for Bulbasaur if there were problems...

Though the fact that they all seem to be bug catchers says a lot in itself.

The sooner we get out of here, the better.

[He can't help but crack a smile.]
Good thing I'm here, huh?

[ She does pause for a moment as she realizes something though. ]
... I hope me catching a Caterpie doesn't end up causing problems though.

Why would it?
no subject
[ Or worse, Caterpie trying to eat Bulbasaur's bulb. Not that it was all that likely to succeed at that, but still. ]

[ Still, better than Caterpie trying to eat Bulbasaur or Bulbasaur attacking it, after all. ]

Now this just makes me want to get out of this forest even faster.

Suddenly you sound even more eager to leave. It's that important to you, huh?

[At this point he's barely containing laughter. He's teasing now.]

[ Usually she'd be a bit annoyed at the teasing, but it wasn't like she could really go against what he was saying. ]
