Voice Test Post: Xander (Fire Emblem: Fates)

It's time for an open voice test post! This time, it's for Crown Prince Xander of Nohr from Fire Emblem: Fates. For a summary of his character (courtesy of his trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS):

"Xander is the eldest son of the Nohr royal family, and crown prince of Nohr. He's taciturn and quite stubborn, but he views Corrin as true family though they aren't blood relatives. Said to be the strongest and most skilled swordsman in Nohr. Xander wields the divine weapon known as Siegfried."

[ Ivina manages to show the briefest glimpse of a genuine smile to Xander, as the romance in the atmosphere is very much present to her still. ]

That is a matter that he and I shall discuss on a much later time. For the only man that I want my full attention to right now is you.

[ She didn't want to discuss any of that right now and just wanted to cherish this rare moment. But now that Xander has mentioned it, she might get Leon involved in the construction project for this bridge. She had planned it before, but other things have gotten in the way.

Ivina looks on her unarmored hand, gently interlacing her fingers with Xander's. She inches closer to him, lifting her chin ever so slightly up to look him in the eyes ]

[In truth, that pleased Xander. He's content to allow Ivina's hands to interlock with his, and he lets out a more tender smile than he normally gives.]

Then let us consider that deal confirmed.

[He tilts his head down, letting it touch very lightly with hers.]

Might I interest you in a dance?

I thought you would never ask.

[ Seeing Xander reveal a glimpse of his softer side with that smile, Ivina felt compelled to do the same. That small exchange of loving looks, hands intwined tenderly, and crossing the threshold from the balcony and into the chatter-filled ballroom made Ivina feel a step closer to a life she never thought she'll have. Seeing the couple return into the fold and appearing closer than mere friends got the people looking in awe and wonder. Whispers mixed in with the music and indistinct conversations as people make way for Xander and Ivina. ]
