[ For Valentines, Rise and some of her single classmates decided to have a goukon with guys from another school. She was free after rehearsal that afternoon, so she decided to agree.

She also didn't want to be alone on Valentines.

Once there, since a few of the guys were fans of 'Risette,' she had no choice but to go with that persona. So she was smiling and flirty most of the time. It didn't help that they egged her to sing a couple of songs. With much of the attention on her, the other girls were not happy as well. She could see it in their eyes. They think she was just in this goukon to show off.

She wasn't! She wanted to tell them but couldn't. ]

[ With the tension thick enough to cut with a knife, Rise excused herself to use the bathroom. But she didn't want one. She just wanted to leave the room since it was getting hard to breathe.

Once alone in a mostly empty hallway, she breathed a sigh of relief and leaned against the wall.

Maybe ---- maybe this was a mistake. ]

Mou!

It is Valentines! I just wanted to find love! Is that so hard?

[Upon Rise's cry of frustration, one of the doors to the room opens. Standing in the frame is Shirou, who is among the boys invited to this event. He has a look of curiosity and concern on his face as he looks out.]

Hey, are you all right?

[ Upon seeing Shirou, it took her a moment to recognise him. He was one of the boys from the other school and if she remembered correctly, he was not one of the people insisting on her performing. With the exception of a couple of lines during introductions earlier, they haven't really talked.

If he heard her from the inside though, she was probably that loud and the thought was very embarrassing. ]

I'm fine. I just needed some fresh air! That is all.

You are ... Shirou, right?

[Shirou nods. If anyone else was disturbed, they aren't coming to see. And Shirou's expression remains neutral.]

Yeah, that's me. But, uh, fresh air in the hallway?

[ Rise found herself blushing and laughing awkwardly, internally berating herself for not coming up with a better excuse. ]

I was ... on my way out actually.

Do you want to go with me?

Huh?

[Shirou is surprised by the offer. He wasn't expecting that.]

Uh, sure. I'll go with you.

[He has no reason to turn her down, after all.]

[ Well, she would rather leave now tan be forced to go through another song when she goes back.

At least walking around this part of town is safer with a guy around. ]

Thank you! Before I forget, I am Rise. It is nice to meet you, Shirou.

[Shirou nods. He knows that much not just from the introductions, but also from her fame. But it's a personal introduction; how many people can say they've gotten that from a well-known idol?]

It's nice to meet you, too. So, where are we going?

[ She really did not want to go back there again be put in an aquarium. At least not go back until everybody else had partnered up. This was Valentines, a time of love. She didn't want to take that away from her school mates. ]
