Last Free City app ideas
Here are the characters I am considering for The Last Free City.
Character: Asem Asuno
Series: Mobile Suit Gundam AGE
Pros:
-He can bring the Gundam AGE-2 with him.
-The AGE System opens up all kinds of possibilities.
-Between his natural piloting skill, the power of the Gundam, and the AGE System, Asem should be able to remain a competitive force throughout the RP's run.
-He would be very easy to convince to join due to Chronic Hero Syndrome.
Cons: I honestly can't think of any.
Likelihood of App: Certain
Character: Rider
Series: Fate/stay night
Pros:
-Rider flourishes in action RPs. It's her element, and she's incredibly fun to RP in fights.
-I've been looking for a place to play Rider for ages.
-Pitting Rider against Medusa is a very real possibility, since there's already an established Greek mythological presence.
-Giving Rider motive is easy -- just threaten Sakura's happiness.
Cons:
-Rider can be hard to get CR for. While she isn't antisocial, she doesn't seek out a social atmosphere.
Likelihood of App: Very High
Character: Son Gohan
Series: Dragon Ball Z
Pros:
-This is the one game where Gohan would be given ample opportunity to fight at full power without breaking the power curve.
-Saiyan body traits would make strengthening him (if necessary) easy -- let him be beaten to the point of being on death's door, then get him fully healed.
-No persuasion would be necessary to make Gohan participate.
Cons:
-Gohan hates fighting. This could result in more angst than I'd want to deal with.
-Gohan's voice tends to wax and wane. It isn't bad enough to keep me from passing AC, though.
Likelihood of App: Very High (None if Trunks is apped)
Character: Trunks Briefs (Future Timeline)
Series: Dragon Ball Z
Pros:
-This is the one game where Trunks would be given ample opportunity to fight at full power without breaking the power curve.
-Saiyan body traits would make strengthening him (if necessary) easy -- let him be beaten to the point of being on death's door, then get him fully healed.
-No persuasion would be necessary to make Trunks participate.
-Trunks's knowledge of machinery and natural intelligence would also let him get involved in research and development.
Cons:
-I haven't regularly played Trunks in years. I would have to brush up on his voice.
Likelihood of App: Very High (None if Gohan is apped)
Character: Athrun Zala
Series: Mobile Suit Gundam SEED
Pros:
-Athrun would get to keep both his SEED Factor and the Infinite Justice, which I've been pining for for a long time.
-With multiple talents, Athrun could fulfill both combat and non-combat roles.
Cons:
-I already play Athrun in three other games. Can I really handle a fourth?
Likelihood of App: Moderate
Character: Gawain
Series: Fate/EXTRA
Pros:
-There's no need to nerf him here. I can play him at full strength.
-I've been wanting to play Gawain in an action-heavy game for ages.
Cons:
-I had been hoping for a game where Gawain would be forced to form a contract with another magus, and that seems unlikely here.
Likelihood of App: Moderate
Character: Lockon Stratos/Lyle Dylandy
Series: Mobile Suit Gundam 00
Pros:
-Lockon is tons of fun to play.
-Lockon would get to keep his Gundam. Which is good, because his Gundam is FUN.
Cons:
-I'm unsure about his voice strength at this point in time.
Likelihood of App: Moderate
Character: Allelujah Haptism
Series: Mobile Suit Gundam 00
Pros:
-Allelujah would get to keep his Gundam.
-Allelujah's abilities would remain intact.
-HALLELUJAH.
Cons:
-Gundam Harute could probably be modified so that Soma isn't necessary, but Allelujah would be better off with her in the game.
Likelihood of App: Moderate
Character: Simon
Series: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann
Pros:
-Simon would get to keep Gurren-Lagann.
-Simon would be allowed to go full-out without breaking the power curve, though I doubt he'd be allowed any of his stronger Gunmen due to size issues. Maybe Arc Gurren-Lagann, but that's it.
-Simon is FUN in fights.
-I can bring back his on-foot Belkan-inspired fighting style.
-Three words: "Let's. Do. THAT."
Cons:
-I'm not sure about the strength of his voice after so long since playing him.
Likelihood of App: Moderate
Character: Kariya Matou and Berserker
Series: Fate/zero
Pros:
-I'm still eager to try playing Kariya.
-I fully expect Berserker to be FUN AS HELL in fights.
-They'd be pretty good at espionage. Berserker spends most of his time in spirit form, and who would suspect a stroke victim of wrongdoing?
Cons:
-I'm unsure whether or not I could do him justice.
-If I app Kariya and Berserker, I wouldn't app Rider and I couldn't app Gawain.
