[He stiffens at that. When Midori pulls away, she may notice a hint of red in his face.]

Okay, let's go!

[Totally oblivious.]

[Athrun pulls out a remote and presses a button. The sound of a whirring motor could be heard high up in the chest. He then pressed another button, and a cable with a loop on the end descended. He slid his foot into the loop and grabbed the cable with his left hand.]

All right...hop on.

[prettytamer]

[Carefully, Midori stepped in next to him and held on.]

Like this, right?

Yeah.

[Being this close to a girl had Athrun's face very gradually filling up with blood. Fortunately, the ride up didn't last long, and Athrun strapped himself into his seat.

However, the cockpit didn't contain a second seat.]

I guess I'll just stand behind you?

I'm afraid there's not enough room behind the seat for that. I can't see anything bigger than a cat fitting back there.

[Athrun tries to appear not embarrassed by this. Once she's situated, he closes the hatch and starts up the system. The main computer screen shows a ZAFT logo, then loads up the following:

UNSUBDUED
NUCLEAR
DRIVE
ASSAULT
MODULE

Then the cameras turn on, and the walls of the cockpit give way to a full view in every direction.]

[The Infinite Justice crouches, then leaps into the air, the thrusters on its backpack carrying it straight up into the sky. In less than a minute, they're at least five thousand feet in the air.]

[prettytamer]

[oh my gooooooooooooooooooooood] So cool, so cool!

[infinitejustice]

[Athrun then guns the throttle forward. The backpack swings up and the thrusters fire once more, and the Gundam flies ahead through the sky. Athrun also set a waypoint for their original location, which appeared as a red blip on the map display directly in front of the seat.]

[Don't mind her, she's pretty much beside herself with excitement right now.]
