And here we go with yet another shipping post! The rules are simple. [Athrun and Meer are on the beach! They've whittled away most of the afternoon soaking up the sun's rays and playing in the surf. Now, the sun is sinking low in the sky, and the people around them are packing up and leaving.

However, Athrun has made no move to pack his belongings. He gives Meer a hopeful look.]

Hey, Meer. I'd like to stay here and watch the sunset with you. What do you say?

[ Meer never wanted to leave. Why would she want to when she had never had such a perfect day?

At Athrun's question, she smiled and opened one eye. At the moment, she was feeling extremely lazy and affectionate. She sits up --- leans her head against his shoulder. ]

I would say ... [ Grins. ] ... nothing would make this day more perfect.

[That gets a smile in return.]

I can think of one way to make this better.

[With that, Athrun scoots around so that he's behind Meer, then leans forward and wraps his arms around her waist.]

Just lean back.

[ He was right. This did make it so much better. She did as she was told and leaned back. Did the sun look more beautiful these past few minutes or was it simply her?

This kind of affection was really a big change from the person who would jump out of bed in shock of seeing a girl with him in bed. ]

Athrun, I've got something to say to you ...

... you don't have to answer now if you don't want to.

[And as Meer leaned back, Athrun tilted his head down.]

Yes? What is it?

Y-you're not being nice to me out of pity, are you?

[ She actually wasn't ready to hear that he was. That would mean that this perfect day wasn't real. Nothing would break her heart more. ]

[That gets a bewildered look.]

...Why would I do something like that?

[lovelyemotion]

[ Leaning her head further back so she could look at him with those big confused eyes. ]

Because Meer was easily tricked by Durandal ... because Meer thought someone finally needed her.

...Meer, I wouldn't go to this extent to be with someone, especially in this kind of setting, unless I genuinely loved them. Pity has absolutely nothing to do with the way I've treated you.

[ Meer was being a girl. Once in a while, girls usually find something to be insecure about with a guy she loves very much.

But, congratulations, Athrun. That was exactly what she wanted to hear. Quite happy and content again, she wraps her arms around him and kisses him on the lips. ]

[Well, Athrun isn't going to say no to that. He tightens his arms around her and kisses back lovingly.]

[ They have to come out for air sometime.

Her arms still around his neck, her fingers playing with the hair behind his neck --- she gives her best flirty and playful look. She then whispers in a sing-song voice. ]

[At that, Athrun gently touches his forehead to hers and cups her cheek.]

I love you, Meer.

[lovelyemotion]

[ It was her name. Not Lacus Clyne. She snuggled closer willing this moment to freeze. ]

I love you too, Athrun.

WOOF!

[ Yukiko was always told she wasn't allowed to have a dog due to allergies in the family and for the general fact that dogs tend to make a mess of perfectly good inns. So it surprises her to hear that noise when she meets up with Athrun at the park. ]

Did someone lose their puppy?

[The bark caught Athrun off-guard, as well. So Yukiko isn't the only one who looks surprised.]

That sounded too loud and too deep to be a puppy.

What do you think it is then?

[ Because if it's not a puppy, the logical conclusion would be a dog.. but listen, she's just a bit too startled to be thinking properly. ]

Well, if it's not a puppy, it'd be a dog...

[Athrun looks around. He doesn't see any dog, though.]

Then let's go on a hunt for it!

[ That comes off as a bit too eager as she laughs, moving away from him to start checking out the park. ]

Here boy! [ Wait, she doesn't know what gender it is. ] Um, here maybe-girl-maybe-boy?

[Cue confused look.]

Uh...you seem really eager to do this.

What's so wrong about it?

[ She has a soft spot for cute animals okay.. ]

Come on, let's look already!

I didn't say anything was wrong, I'm just...surprised, is all.

All right, but are you sure that's where it came from?

[innheritance]

Well, where else would it have come from?

Well, uh. It's. Kind of a big park.

[innheritance]

Then that means we better get to it. There's a lot of ground to cover!

But we heard it already, so that should narrow things down. We just look in the direction the sound came from.

Oh, you're right!
